Wee Crewzers
Ages 3-6

The Wee Crewzers are the youngest of the program's dancers. Wee Crewzers work on basic cheer and dance technique to help enhance gross motor skills, memory, self-confidence, showmanship and teamwork. The Wee Crewzers focus on skills including:

  • Three-step turns
  • Pivot turns
  • Training for pirouettes
  • Kicks
  • Split -leaps
  • Beginning jumps, such as "Tuck Jumps" and "Spread Eagles"
  • Chasés
  • Moderately paced dance routines
  • Varied routines focusing on different performance aspects - such as working with partners, props, pom-poms, and kick lines
  • Basic cheer motions
  • Proper cheerleading voice control
  • Basic cheers and sideline chants, adapted from those used by the Columbus Crewzers

The 2010 Wee Coaches are Miss Johnna and Ms Shelsa!


Johnna & Shelsa

Miss Johnna and Ms Shelsa have been with the Jr. Crewzers as the Wee Crewzers coaches since the program's inception. This sister duo brings a mixture of silliness and fun work to each practice. Their goals as the Wee Crewzers Coaches are to build a strong dance vocabulary and skill base for the girls to succeed in future endevours - whether it is to continue on to the Junior level with the Crewzers, prepare for future tryouts for cheerleading, dance or gymnastics, or simply to enstill a sense of pride and accomplishment early in life. Miss Johnna and Ms Shelsa are dedicated to bring a caring teaching style through the eyes of a child to make every practice enjoyable and productive.
