Varisty Crewzers
Ages 14-17

The Varsity Crewzers – ages 14-17--are our most advanced group of young dancers. Varsity Crewzers work on advanced cheer and dance technique to help enhance dance and cheer abilities, memory, self-confidence, showmanship and teamwork. The Varsity Crewzers is a great training program for future Columbus Crewzer hopefules, or for those young women who are interested in cheerleading and dance at the High School or College level. The Varsity Crewzers focus on skills including:

  • Axle Leaps
  • Split-leaps
  • Switch-leaps
  • Full pirouettes
  • Double pirouettes
  • Kick Styles
  • Jumps, such as "Toe-Touches," "Side-Hurdlers," "Front Hurdlers," "Pikes" and double jumps
  • Chasés
  • Fast paced dance routines
  • Routines involving work with partners, props, pom-poms, and kick lines
  • Advanced cheer motions
  • Proper cheerleading voice control
  • Advanced cheers and sideline chants, the same as used by the Columbus Crewzers
  • Performance experience
  • Life Skills
    • Leadership - Varsity Crewzers play a large part in the Wee and Junior mentorship program
